Orange hair after Colour B4. What now?

I've stripped my hair using Colour B4, it was blue black and is now orange. I knew this would happen as I've done it before. I think last time I was so shocked that I just put a dark brown on immediately. I'm wanting to go a light ash brown, will this work over the orange or does it need to be toned or bleached first?

If you want it lighter than that, then you would have to bleach it. Bleach bath with shampoo might work well. The ash will hopefully cancel out the warmth.

@Blossomingtree Oooh thanks, not heard of a bleach bath but read up on it and will give that a try - much less harsh.
