What should I wear on a date to a gallery this afternoon?

I have no clue what to wear. I'm currently in jeans but they seem a bit scruffy.

Have had quite a few dates with him but all evening in nice restaurants/bars so far so he's seen me quite dressed up.

What kind of gallery is it? I think jeans with a nice top or a blazer type jacket would be fine, you don't want to be over dressed.

Midi dress and cool trainers if warm. Jeans and a nice blouse if cooler. And probably a raincoat if it's anything like the weather here.

I'm in London. So sticky but not sunny (at the moment).

Casual dress then. Trainers or comfortable sandals.

I would go with wide leg trousers or culottes and a tucked in tshirt, with either smart trainers or sandals.

Jeans with a decent top should be fine, or a summer dress.. or wide trousers and a top… it a a pretty flexible dress situation.

The trouble is, most of my casual dresses are black and I think he's only seen me in black! I'm trying to branch out today.
