Hi

i have ordered some things online and liked them. Like the rose oil and the tonic. Plus nabbed some perfumes a few months back,

I only have a little store nearby and it doesn’t have much and never things like perfumes or the new range that has just come out,
I managed to nab the face powder online but missed the rest .

I’ve only just got into Aldi . Do the items come back online . Or it
s that it ? I can see loads for sale on eBay !

I am in London and as I say, nearest is a small Aldi .Nit sure about travelling across London to a large store and still nothing, I assume you have to regularly pop in and check.

I keep reading about lots of great products in online articles, but never see them.
I can see loads of items on eBay that I can’t see in Aldi online . Would it be daft to pay extra from eBay and if so, any hard to find items or no longer made ones that I should look for ? Or would they be old and stale products ,

looking forward to hearing the tips to getting good Aldi stuff !

Well I’ve just bid on the Bobbi Brown dupe . But prices seem to be aiming higher than BB stuff, so will stop at £12.

In my experience they change their cosmetics lines quite often. I was keen on their clinique moisture surge moisturiser but they've not had it for a long time now. I do buy it on ebay or vinted when I run out but I suppose they'll dry up too eventually. My advice would be if you like a particular product get an armful when you see it in store!
(I got the miracle veil face powder too)

Oh just remembered I read that lidl or aldi not sure which one are doing an olaplex dupe now, I've not tried the real stuff but might give the dupe a go.

Mykittensmittens · 31/07/2022 15:28

The tanning drops are really really good. Just mix a couple of drops with your regular face moisturiser and the colour is really even.

better than some tanning drops I spent about £30 on a these are a fiver!

the Touché Eclat dupe is also very good.

what aldi reliably do is repeat things annually. So if you like something and it comes into stock you can buy a few, then usually 6-12 months later you’ll see it again.

I bought the conditioning treatment and shampoo this week, there was no conditioner. I have blonde highlighted hair, and I my hair has a definite green tinge after using it. Never had that happen before. I’ve not used Olaplex before but regularly use Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

I only have a very small Aldi near me. It has hardly any skincare and no make up. Just the shampoos, conditioners , hand cream , shower gels tyoe stuff. But not the fancy stuff.
So only buy online.

Its quite a way to a larger aldi, so can't just pop by to check.

I think some things aren't online either.

I do get the emails. but only powder was left by time I saw it !

Has your powder come yet ?

Thing is the Bobbi Brown primer dupe isn't that cheap when pay what they are asking on ebay.

Never used vinted. must take a look. Thanks.

I didn't see a pre order for thus last drop, dived on when saw the email but lot gone. Do they do a pre order with make up and skin care ?

Saw the drops on e bay. I don't mind paying a little bit more on there.

It always pisses me off that they do a dupe or a product, make a big hoopla about it, it sells out immediately and then they never make it again. If you're lucky enough to actually get hold of something and you love it then that's literally your lot, you'll never see it again.

I've given up, if I see something then great but I'm always suspicious.

As far as Olaplex dupes go, I did some research when Revolution brought theirs out and Olaplex have patented the specific whatever it is in their product, the Revolution dupe ingredient lists match almost exactly, give or take, except this one thing. I tried them and it turns out, that one patented thing is the thing you need!

@MoriaRoseForever I picked up the powder instore, not my local one but a bigger one in my local town. Sometimes you have to search on the middle bit as they don't tend to put the new cosmetics with all the standard stuff like shower gel and face creams. I was surprised to see it shoved in with the household bits & pieces.

My one nearby is a little one, doesn’t have an aisle. I buy food there , but there make up and toiletries is very limited . Once saw the caviar cream and nabbed that . But no middle aisle sadly.

I do order online but wasn’t quick enough last time !

What do you think of the powder, I’ve never used Laura Mercier so don’t know if it’s a good dupe . It seems a bit flat, but the only powder I use is Lily Lilo www.lilylolo.co.uk/makeup/face/finishing-powder/

i use the translucent silk. I am 50s , so don’t want to matte as that seems ageing, but don’t want sparkle either . This one is just right . When I have googled best powders , it never comes up . But it’s very good.

That’s what bothers me, get something, love it and never seen again !

I see all these article saying how wonderful various products are , from only six odd months back, and no sight of them.

I have been looking at eBay. But concerned that they might be a bit old stock as I don’t recognise them . Also some seem to charge a lot and then it’s hardly a bargain anymore !
