How to do gel nails at home?

I've just brought a UV lamp and some gel polish, no need to wipe base and top coat from amazon but I have no idea what I'm doing. Can anyone advise?

Buff your nail surface, avoid getting gel on your cuticles.. other than that it’s just paint each layer and dry it with your little machine thing.

I do mine.

Nice tidy up (push back and remove cuticles) and then shape.

Use a buffer (gently) and then use a prep and finish solution.
Base coat
Colour x 2
Top coat.

60 seconds cure with the lamp and a double cure at the end. Then use the prep solution to finish.

The colour I try to not got too near the skin so the top coat seals it all in.

I was super chuffed my holiday nails lasted 3 weeks!

I do once every 3-4 weeks at home and got some of that gel nail remover stuff you paint on which works really well.

You need a primer.

Watch a YouTube video, it's how I learned to do mine

Oh really a primer as well?

I don’t use a primer all the time. Remember the edges of your nail, run the brush along the top so it seals and helps prevent chips. There are some good tutorials on you tube
