Hair loss products - 10p bald spot :(

Losing lots of hair at the moment. Currently have a 10p bald spot on the top of my head. Pretty certain I suffer from alopecia acreata as this has been happening for years. I get a bald spot, it grows back then another appears…

Looking to thicken up what hair I have and prevent further hair loss. Can anyone recommend a shampoo/conditioner? There are so many brands.

I already take strong hair & nail supplements.

Hi there - I had my first (fingers x’d only) alopecia spot in Jan post covid & another vaccination… dermatologist said it was related. He said it was an inflammatory response & prescribed topical hydrocortisone & also strong fexofenadine which there’s some research to suggest can help. I also took a good liquid probiotic and curcumin which are meant to help with inflammation. I also tried some minoxidil. It has now totally grown back. Incidentally I also had an iron infusion as my ferritin was low and not improving on supplements.
I know how unbelievably stressful this can be. I have since been diagnosed with a more ‘real’ (unrelated) medical problem but I can say hand on heart the alopecia was worse to cope with.
