We have a charity shop near to us which sells seconds/end of line/returns type stuff. The labels are all cut out but I am adept at figuring out where they are from. I went this week and got the following:

Mint Velvet trainers
Free People tee
Free People Blouse
Saint and Sofia pencil skirt
Whistles Trousers
Whistles Nicola trousers
Me and Em tee
Salt water sandals
Boden white tee

Basically half my summer wardrobe! Anyone want to take a guess how much I paid for it all?

It depends what area of the country you are in. If London then £70

Rookiemistake · 28/07/2022 19:48

They are all brand new btw.

Bloddy heck. Where do you live?

There's a Charity shop near me that is mostly Urban Outfitters shiz. But I'm 50 and sturdy so not quite my style. Sad

newbiename · 28/07/2022 20:03

Wow. Where is this shop ?

Rookiemistake · 28/07/2022 20:05

It's near Cannock in Staffs

Tell us OP! I'm intrigued now-I live in West Midlands but this isn't known to me!

Rookiemistake · 28/07/2022 20:26

The whole lot cost me £55! I just worked out it would have been £650ish if I'd bought new.

The shop is this one:
New life

It can be a bit intimidating and you need to be a rummager! My sister can't be doing with it but I have had so much from there. I never shop any where else now.

Wow that's incredible. I manage a local small charity shop and we're cheap but that's amazing. Happy for you

Figroll16 · 28/07/2022 20:40

Ooh there's one of those fairly close to me -I'll definitely have a gander! Thanks

Ontomatopea · 28/07/2022 20:46

Brand new?! I love all of it but the trainers aren't to my taste and VERY expensive new.

ArabeI · 28/07/2022 20:54

That's amazing!

IloveJudgeJudy · 28/07/2022 21:47

Thank you for mentioning this. There is no shop near me but I've checked out their eBay site. Lots of bargains.

chasegirl · 28/07/2022 21:50

Where in Cannock?? I live there 😀

chasegirl · 28/07/2022 21:51

Ah just seen its New Life. Very lucky 😀

Jansobieski · 28/07/2022 22:00

Try vinted. I've had loads of stuff for £5 to 10 plus postage. Baukjen, White Stuff, Seasalt and Toast.

Have you seen the stuff with the plates? I wouldn't buy off there until they sort that out

Ladywiddio · 28/07/2022 23:04

New Life,I love going there,I once had loads of cashmere jumpers.I am also good at working out what brands I am buying.

Bunce1 · 28/07/2022 23:12

I just looked on their eBay shop and nothing seemed that cheap to me…

Burberry trench £200
reiss sandals £60
dune boots £45

is it significantly cheaper in stores?

JasmineVioletRose · 29/07/2022 05:33

What's the shop called?!?!

Plates?

Thefruitbatdancer · 29/07/2022 06:22

TabithaTittlemouse · 29/07/2022 05:54

Plates?

@TabithaTittlemouse somebody spent ££ on trainers on vinted and were sent paper plates instead. Apparently it's a well known scam, I'll link the thread when I find it.

Rookiemistake · 29/07/2022 07:46

Bunce1 Their eBay stuff is still branded and tends to be higher end. In store there is a massive range of brands but they either have the labels cut out or drawn over. They also do offers quite regularly. My haul was so cheap as they had an offer on all women's clothes.
I only choose items where the fabric quality is high. I can generally work out where they're from (because I go far too much).

An ok that makes sense! There is one near me so might have a squizz this weekend. Exciting!
