Laser hair removal-what to look for from practitioner

Anyone who has had this, is there anything specific I should be looking for? I’ve found one that seems to have loads of great reviews and has been doing it a long time…but how do I know it’s all genuine?! I’m a bit paranoid, just wondering if there’s anything particular I should ask at a consultation.

I would want to know that they are using medical grade laser, new ish machines and definitely not IPL.

the chain I went to made a big deal about how often their machines are replaced and upgraded so they are continually using the best machines on the market. Also the machines which blow cold air onto your skin while zapping you are great. I assume this is standard these days but worth checking.

I would maybe ask how they evaluate success and what they would do if any area wasn’t responding well to treatment.

hopefully someone else can provide more helpful advice!

That’s great thanks very much! This one does make a point of saying they use medical grade lasers so that’s reassuring. They also have several clinics so aren’t a one man band so to speak. And great idea to ask how they measure success and what they do if not responding…wouldn’t have thought of that.

Thanks, I think I should’ve done this years ago!

This is something we should have been told years ago! Especially as it won’t work on fair or grey hair so early action is most effective!

I’m delighted with it anyway. Btw if you decide against the company you’re looking at, I posted a link for an introductory offer / referral at the company I used in the bargains / promos boards in case it helps you or anyone else.
