Low/mid rise cargo trousers with slim legs

Or is this impossible? 15YO DD is not very tall, and high waisted trousers look awful on her, as do the current trend for wide legs. She really would like a pair of cargo trousers but I am struggling to find a pair that isn't high waisted and/or wide legged. I can’t help l’m afraid but would like to record my sympathy vote. Who was this so called fashion guru who decided that every woman wants trousers that come up to our tits?

I prefer low rise but they are almost impossible to buy new. The ones I have now were lucky buys from Ebay, so not much help.
