If you can only afford x1, which one?

yes

fingersg · 22/07/2022 22:08

I normally wear mascara, eyebrow pencil, bronzer & blusher. Often with lashes I don't wear anything else.

lavenderfine · 22/07/2022 22:10

Lashes but mascara irritates my eyes and I can't wear it and I don't like having long nails so it wouldn't even be a choice for me. Never seen without lashes on😂

ThickCutSteakChips · 22/07/2022 22:36

Nails.

I actually really like lash extensions for special occasions but the current trend for really thick dark extensions for every day wear just looks a bit much.

I don't get either done regularly by the way, 8 bite my nails so they always look shit! But in your position, I would go nails.

K0612 · 22/07/2022 23:01

Lashes always.

Does anyone find they wear less make up all round with lash extensions?

unless the lashes are very natural, I really dislike the look of lash extensions with no other makeup - to me it looks really silly and unfinished but each to their own - you see it all the time.

I just think if the lashes are too big and false / heavy you almost need to wear more makeup to keep up with them.

I use fake lashes occasionally but always a very natural wispy finish to improve my own very short boring lashes but not look too fake.

MsMiaWallace · 22/07/2022 23:27

Those saying lashes do you opt for a natural nail?

Neither.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 22/07/2022 23:33

Why are you asking? Are you wanting to set up as a lash specialist?

Whoatealltheminieggs · 22/07/2022 23:35

I used to think lashes but I’ve started to feel it looks a bit cheap. I started buying lumigan in lockdown and it’s grown my own lashes to a decent length so I’m quite happy with mascara on.

LaWench · 22/07/2022 23:36

Lashes. I love having a lash lift, I have lots of lashes but they're not curly anymore, with the lift it looks like I'm wearing mascara when I'm not.

I'm happy to chuck on some nail polish once a week, not too difficult.

LaWench · 22/07/2022 23:38

I'm not keen on the big cow lashes though, they look so uncomfortable.

ANewNameANewDay · 22/07/2022 23:47

I've got naturally big and bushy brows so having a bit of substance on my eyes helps to balance my face IMO. Deffo agree with PP that they can look OTT (eg Russian lashes). I'm lucky to have clear skin so just dab a bit of concealer and maybe blush and I'm good to go. I definitely wear less makeup with my lashes done.

I do have my own professional gel nail kit so I do those at home for free.

Nails - I think the false lash trend looks awful.

Same

MrsTimRiggins · 22/07/2022 23:53

Lashes for sure. Extensions change my whole look imo, I look much prettier without making any effort and I generally wear less make up day to day then. Just a bit of brow gel and maybe some tinted moisturiser and I’m away.
I do love having my nails done but they’re easy enough to just do myself.

Dic · 22/07/2022 23:54

Nails. I hate the false lash trend with a passion.

ThisIsNotThePostYourLookingFor · 23/07/2022 00:03

Lashes but I go for the lvl instead of Russian etc. my nails bug me so I generally paint them myself. You can get gel nail polish on Amazon so it lasts a bit longer

bouncydog · 23/07/2022 08:15

Nails - French gel so you don’t notice growth and do every 5 weeks.

MsMiaWallace · 23/07/2022 09:24

Lol no I'm not a lash tech.
Just asking as I'm torn.
