Found tanning lotion at the back of the cupboard...

Would you? It's st tropez in shower. It looks the right colour but seems more runny than I remember. It must be at least 2 years old. Try it or chuck it?

There's a picture of an open pot on the back somewhere with a number- that's how many months it lasts once it's open. If it's past that don't use it!

Justkoko · 21/07/2022 17:34

It's never been opened, it was forgotten about. And it's 6 months I think.
Just found the online order for it, I bought it 3 and a half years ago! 😬

The smell should tell you everything! They go from that moderately unpleasant whiff, to ponging like a long deceased squirrel that your dog dreams of rolling in 🤢

Squirt some out and see if it’s green. If it is, don’t use it!

DuchessOfSausage · 21/07/2022 17:52

It will probably be fine to use. If it looks or smells bad don't use it

Nesbo · 21/07/2022 17:54

off topic, but that reminded me of my childhood seeing “tanning lotion”!

I always think of it as sun cream now, a thing to help you protect your skin from sun damage, not actually help you make it go brown (like my mum always used it for on holiday!)

Justkoko · 21/07/2022 17:57

It'd not green, it's orangey yellow as expected. Smells no weirder than I remember.

Soo...I tried it and can't really see ghat has done anything at all. It was weirdly stingy when I applied it but that passed but I cant see any change in my colour. Can it literally stop working? I think I might be chucking it. Lesson learned, don't 'save' things for best!

Give it a good shake. Apply a thick layer badly and if you look like a jar of marmalade in a few hours blame MN

Justkoko · 22/07/2022 15:45

😁 yeah I'll blame you lot, you'll see me in the dm all sad faced and complaining mn did this to me! 😆
