My deodorant has skin whitening properties

I am wondering why my underarms need whitening.
Also, isn’t skin whitening one of those bullshit claims?

Skin darkening of the armpits is one of the things that can happen in menopause due to hormonal changes. That's the why.

Bullshit claims? No..I've use a cream which helps fade the melisma on my nose.
