Festival wear for plus size

I thought I knew what I was going to wear, but I'm now having a wobble.

Any ideas/inspiration for what to wear at a festival when you're size 20/22?

I want to look relaxed and definitely not show too much flesh. Will also have the kids with me, in case that makes a difference.

are you anti skirts or dresses? I get terrible chub rub despite not being particularly overweight, I find Bandalettes are a wonderful remedy and have given me the freedom to wear skirts in hot weather again 🙌

Obviously that might not apply to you if you have slimmer legs or wider hips ☺️

I like that - thank you! I usually have to wear cycling shorts under dresses -especially in this weather. Hopefully it won't be too hot!

This is also pretty casual but looks quite fun and flattering, could pop a pair of cycle shorts underneath if you’re worried about flashing your bum 😆

Also it depends on the weather, and what you consider to be your best attributes and what you want covered up! I look best in sleeveless for example as I have fairly broad shoulders and big boobs and tend to look a bit shot-puttery in too much fabric!

I love the boohoo dress linked above. I'd go for a few hippyish midi or maxi dresses and you can wear cotton cycling shorts underneath.

Sorry for being thick, but what is chub rub?

I have a few pairs of these trousers (many colours) which I'd wear with floaty tops. Only downside is they don't have pockets and you should size down.

When the tops of your thighs rub together and caused sore chafing. I’ve got quite narrow hips and chunky legs and after an hour or so of walking around on a hot day, my inner thighs are bright red and on fire… they even bled once!! The pain is excruciating 😖

My go to outfit is a tunic type dress with cropped leggings and sandals or a maxi dress. I have just invested in snag shorts and can vouch for them too

I have to post as I can't be the only person to have solved the problem of chub rub as they call it now! Simple - Stick deoderant - I use Dove - rub over inner thighs and never have a problem any more - been brilliant since I worked this out! and dont have to wear an extra layer - result!
