Have you, or anyone you know, significantly changed their face? Using surgery

I mean a “real” person not a celebrity. And either a big procedure or lots of small things, not just some Botox. I’d just be interested.

I get botox and my lips done 🤷‍♀️

Mercurial123 · 20/07/2022 11:54

Someone I work with has just come back from holiday, she's had fillers, botox and her lips seem to have doubled in size. She looked better before the procedures.

TheGeoffLinton · 20/07/2022 19:23

Cass I think you’re probably trying to look yourself but a bit fresher or younger though? Which is fair enough. I think I’m talking a bit more drastic.

Hello! I want to. I’m 30, I look young but really dissatisfied with my face. Literally think about it all the time... I had a nose job years ago which I’m still very happy with. I’m thinking of jaw surgery to reduce the size of my chin / jaw and possibly a very subtle lip lift. Basically I don’t like my lower face.

that’s where I’ll stop though at least with surgical face procedures.

I work in a small team in a professional job and ideally want to come back looking good but for it not to be noticeable I’ve had work done... as people will gossip which is currently what puts me off. That and recovery time!

I would do it ASAP if I could as it really brings me down!

User952539 · 20/07/2022 19:28

Yes. My friend is a beautician and has a lot of procedures. She’s totally unrecognisable on photos from 15 years ago.

TheGeoffLinton · 20/07/2022 20:09

@Changemyname9 yes this is me too!

My previously beautiful cousin has ruined her face with surgery. She was such a stunning natural beauty when we were young. I'm not sure exactly what she's had done as she's very secretive, but she now looks older than her Mum and her face and eyes are lopsided.

I'm not anti, I have botox and filler, but fuck me she's ruined her looks.

Dalaidramailama · 20/07/2022 20:23

I had jaw surgery for an open/over bite on the NHS due to jaw pain but I looked very different after. Whilst under the knife my lip was also moved and slightly reshaped and my chin size was reduced. The latter being for cosmetic reasons but still done on the NHS (as the jaw surgery made my chin stick out).

Result was a symmetrical face/jaw mouth and NO more pain.

FabLolly · 20/07/2022 20:26

I keep seeing very average folk around town that have obviously had major Botox and filler done. A lot of weirdly Vulcan brows and rubbery, non-human looking lips. It’s obviously becoming quite mainstream to majorly fuck with your face.

MrsTerryPratchett · 20/07/2022 20:28

Yes and she looks really really weird. I think she has massive body and face issues. Very pretty, slim, tall sister and judgemental parents. A toxic mix.

Allthefoodandwine · 20/07/2022 20:31

I had my eyelids trimmed last year, was so sick of having heavy, foreskin lids, I had them trimmed!
Best money I have ever spent!
Has taken years off me!!

chickenegg · 20/07/2022 20:31

A girl I work with had the Philtrum (space between nose and lips) reduced. It made such a difference.

Changemyname9 · 20/07/2022 20:50

@chickenegg was that via a liplift? That’s what I want!

@TheGeoffLinton what do you want done? Happy to chat over PM too if helpful 😊

Holly763 · 20/07/2022 21:02

I get my lips done and I know people say this all the time an get eye rolls but mine genuinely look natural. If anyone wants a photo as proof I'll happily put it up 😂I don't get botox but probably will in the future. Otherwise doubt I would get anything else done. I'm happy with myseld otherwise it's just my natural top lip is none existant.

ImprobablePuffin · 20/07/2022 21:07

I've had my upper eyelids done and I've had tear trough filler. Also have had chin and jaw lipo as after weight loss I was left with a strap of unmoving fat under my chin.
It's done wonders for my self confidence, although many probably wouldn't even notice but I definitely do.

Yes. See the work of surgeon greg_bran (on Instagram). He also does hairline lowering (which I need!). Very talented surgeon.

OneFrenchEgg · 20/07/2022 21:14

Of love a nose job, chin reduction, eye lid lift, lip filler, Botox. I have a wish list - will probably get round to the last three bit im not brave enough for a nose job or chin surgery.

coolernow · 20/07/2022 21:54

a friend had jaw surgery & she looked like a different person, honestly not an improvement.

coolernow · 20/07/2022 21:56

I also know someone who had a nose job in their late teens. It's weird though as now we are late 30s the nose looks too small for the face if that makes sense.

An old friend on Facebook gets her lips done and they are massive. She had small lips but they suited her as she has small petite delicate features. It’s not like she looks like a different person, but I feel sad when I see pictures of her as she looks so try hard.

PotatoFamily · 21/07/2022 06:42

One of my very beautiful friends now looks like she’s made of rubber, with crooked lips and puffy cheeks

That’s something I didn’t think about. Good point!
