Tri-Pollar Eye RadioFrequency Device for Eye & Lip Area?

I just bought this on whim as it was on sale at the start of the week. I'm mid 40's and my skin is pretty good as I do tretinoin, vit c, spf, micro-needling etc. However I am starting to see some aging in my eye and lip area, quite minor at the moment but wanted something to prevent it getting worse and hopefully reverse the very tiny crows feet / lip lines I see I'm developing.

Anyone used this device or any of the tri-pollar devices? What were your thoughts or results?

I inherited a Newa RF facial device but I haven't used it yet as I've been doing a course of facial needling and also I can't use that round my eye area.

I used Stop on forehead and was impressed. It’s good! Mine ended up unused in a drawer because of the time commitment required, and tbh, eventually I stopped fire fighting as much. Wrinkles happen and they don’t even make one less attractive, soo… lol.

I’m watching with interest. I had a Newa but couldn’t cope with the time commitment of 25 mins 5 times a week. I did do it for a while and could definitely see a difference and people commented on my skin. It was annoying as it had to be plugged in too.

Eying up the tri- pollar as can’t use Newa around the eyes and this area is my biggest concern. I don’t like Botox in this area (had it a few times and just looks ‘off’). But again don’t want to invest in something I don’t use. It needs to be quicker than 25 mins!

@Delatron I think the tripollar eye is 4 mins per section so each eye and mouth area so for eyes alone it would be less than 10 minutes 2-3 times a week for 6 - 8 weeks then moving down to 2 - 4 times a month as needed. So time commitment not huge. I've only used it once but will do my second treatment on Tuesday I think. Its still on sale at the moment with quite a good discount.

@KalaniM I've heard the stop is good but couldn't justify it when I have the newa. I know wrinkles aren't the end of the world but I quite enjoy doing it all so why not!

Just an update on this device, I've used it about 3 times as directed and I'm actually seeing pretty good results already, the skin under my left eye which was my less aged eye looks really good and smooth. My right eye was worse but is looking better and the dark circle on both eyes are improved quite a bit. Skin looks less thin and sunken, it is tending to look better a couple of days after treatment each time.

The upper lip area is really great I was noticing light lip lines around my top lip mostly from sleeping I think but this device has really lifted them out and smoothed the skin.

So far I'm very pleased!

Ooh a good update @vinnywoolf I’m so tempted but I think I’ve missed all the offers.

The eye area is so hard to treat.

vinnywoolf · 26/07/2022 18:50

@Delatron I think they will have more offers on for black friday so perhaps wait until then as the offer on the tripollar website was pretty good.

Have you done dermal needling? If not you could sort of pre-treat the areas by doing a course of treatments at home (make sure you get a roller that uses individual needles and not disks with spikes) then use the tripollar when its back on offer.

Ooh thanks @vinnywoolf I haven’t tried micro needling. Will give that a go and keep an eye out for offers!

vinnywolf , hi, I was wondering if you can use the tripollar at the same time as using retinol or retin -a? I use a retinol eye cream. Is rf compatible, do you know?

vinnywoolf · 01/08/2022 14:51

@KalaniM Hi, I think its fine I use a prescription strength retin a on my face and it migrates to the eye area so I think its fine. One caution is that this device does seem to dry the skin out a bit after use so perhaps use a simple moisturising eye cream or a light face cream on the under eye area after use as opposed to the retinol? You shouldn't have any product on your skin except the tripollar balm but you can apply other products after. I just usually wipe off the gel with a damp cloth. You only use the device a couple of times a week so plenty of time to rotate other products or treatment in.
