Anyone found good anti chad shorts?

Redruby2020 · 12/07/2022 18:34

Only just come around to wearing a dress due to a few reasons. Felt great but I realised something that I had forgotten about, being big especially. The rubbing that can happen and also legs kind of slapping together when I walk, so anti chad shorts seem to be everywhere but not sure if some are better than others?
Plus i would hope most will not be really hot?! especially if they are supposed to go under a dress?!
So any recommendations will be gladly received. I am a size 20.

If for a dress I just wear the sloggie long length pants they are great.

I'm not sure mine are keeping any Chads away but I've got some Snag tights ones that are really good. They are like 20 denier tights but cycling shorts. I think loads of shops do them now and when I buy more I think I'd go with this material again rather than cotton ones.

Baldrickhasaplan · 12/07/2022 18:41

Snag ChubRub shorts are superb

Soontobe60 · 12/07/2022 18:50

M+S cool comfort anti chafe shorts are what you need. I wear them, after years of not wearing dresses in summer they’ve changed my life!

Soontobe60 · 12/07/2022 18:50

Plus they’re great for sleeping in on hot nights too

TuftyMarmoset · 12/07/2022 18:52

I second the M&S cooling shorts

poopyface · 12/07/2022 18:54

I have snag and also Amazon best seller 3 pack for 20 quid, probs prefer Amazon one as longer and more like cycling short material - so nice being able to wear dresses again! Plus handy if any gusts blow the dress up!

FirstFallopians · 12/07/2022 18:57

I have two pairs of Snag ones and M&S.

Much prefer the Snag ones- feel nice and airy and have a cotton gusset. They’re also really stretchy- I didn’t want something that felt like control wear.

They have a huge range of sizes as well.

SomethingAboutNothing · 12/07/2022 18:57

The cheapest option (AFAIK) is Primark cycle shorts, £2.50 a pair. Work a treat! I do like the sound of cooling ones though...

Another vote for the M&S cooling anti Chaffe shorts. They're so comfortable and not at all sweaty!

I have been browsing at M&S and found this: https://www.marksandspencer.com/anti-chafing-shorts-with-cool-comfort/p/clp60165135?intid=mobileappppdpshare

I always end up with thrush with shorts/ long pants. Would the cooling ones be less thrush inducing?

PinktoothbrushBluetoothbrush · 12/07/2022 19:30

Snag ones, mine have lasted two summers. Fabulous!

EdHelpPls · 12/07/2022 19:34

I hate the ones that feel like tights so I've got a few new look cycling shorts- £9 each and incredibly comfy but presumably a bit bulkier at the waist.

Yodaisawally · 12/07/2022 19:51

Next - they are so comfy and cooling

Sounds great! Yes I haven't worn them due to not liking arms on show, and my weight etc. Plus I'm self conscious worry too much about what people say looks I get. I know it sounds ridiculous to some but it really is that bad.
But now with more dresses having a sleeve, and finding a few styles I actually like I am willing to try and get a couple to wear whilst we have this heat wave!
Thanks I shall take a look on their site!

Took a look via the link someone else had attached, they look good. Of course the more nudey natural colours have sold out. There are other ones too but they are not part of the cool comfort range, these ones are a pack of two, i don't think they will be as cooling so I will go with the cool comfort. I just hope they come down long enough on me.

I have snag which are ok but bought the M&S ones after a recommendation on here. They are so much nicer than the snag ones and better quality too. My snag have frayed on the leg.

anxiousatnight · 12/07/2022 20:36

Yes! I got some amazing ones just this week from Amazon. They are brilliant. Not hot, legs don't ride up and really comfortable.

chiffchaffchiff · 12/07/2022 20:54

I've been wearing snag chub rub shorts for the last few days and they've been brilliant. When you hold them up they look alarmingly small but when wearing they stretch a lot without leaving an obvious bump where they end.

Same here. They're not hot to wear and don't ride up. Super comfy too.

I've been wearing snag chub rub shorts this summer. Absolute game changer. So comfortable and nice to wear dresses again.

Flackattack · 12/07/2022 21:29

I sized up on the M&S and they ride up! So stay with your size.
s at tights are great - again don’t suze up and they are cool

BeaLola · 12/07/2022 21:30

From a previous thread a couple of summers ago a poster recommended using roll on deodorant on inside of thighs rather than wearing shirts etc - I tried it and it works

Ooh they look good, as they are longer on the leg too, thanks.
