Tips to prevent me melting in full evening wear

Just that. Black tie do next weekend. Lovely dress. Temperatures of around 30 degrees!
I had thought about some of those gel ice packs in my bra?!
How do I prevent my makeup sliding off and myself from passing out?

You literally can’t, I lived in Sydney and we used to attend evening dos by 10 pm everybody’s too pissed to care that’s the best bet

Oh god, I genuinely would consider not going 😄

I think drink plenty of water beforehand cause it helps your body regulate your temperature, and make sure you wear sunscreen cause again it helps your skin regulate your temperature. I would go for a sleeveless dress.

make sure you wear heavy duty anti perspirant

with makeup, use primer and setting spray

And hope the place you go has air conditioning!

Put a can of cool spray in your bag. Everyone else will wish they'd thought of it😃

I wouldn't bother with my usual makeup - just tinted moisturiser, gel cheek tint, waterproof mascara and a brow gel - and go for that 'glowy' look.

What is this please?
I've got a black tie do tomorrow!

Yes! What is cool spray?

Err, spray that is cooling.

HyggeandTea · 13/07/2022 19:34

Yes, okay! 🙃 Is it just water in a can or is there a specific brand that works well.

I used to buy one of those cooling sprays 20 years ago but I’ve not seen them in years. Just did a quick search and nothing similar came up!

Magicool, buy on Amazon.
