Those little boxy bags with the woven straps...

Can anyone suggest a company that does good quality leather ones that are less than £90 or thereabouts?

I've seen some lovely ones but without seeing the colour of the leather in the flesh it's quite tricky to know what I'd choose. And they aren't exactly cheap. I'd pay it if I knew it'd last me some years and was genuinely great quality.

I've recently got a pom pom London one. So far I'm impressed, seems well made and lovely soft leather. I got three straps with it on an offer and love them all.

This is one of the companies I was looking at. What colour did you get?

I thought I wanted a neutral then I look more and more and want something really bright! I want it for an every day bag that will go with basically everything and in all seasons. I want it to be my main bag.

It was the jubilee one, it's sort of silver/ light grey. I thought that I could add colour with the straps, where as a bright bag you are a bit more limited. It's my everyday bag, plenty of space for sunglasses, purse, phone, hairs brush and makeup.

A quick change of strap and it becomes a nice bag for a night out.

I've got a Meg and Bee one. Cost a little more but the leather is lovely and soft. I've got a nice black and gold strap for nights out and a Liberty print one for summer.

@notagaim did you get the Mayfair or the City? I keep thinking the city could be so boxy its a bit cumbersome but they are very similar in size really I think. But at the same time one open space may be easier to keep thinks like sunglasses in rather than the Mayfair which is going to be slimmer pockets. Not sure which I prefer. Leaning towards the Mayfair.

Got mine from Oliver Bonas about 2 years ago for about £45. They still do them but not sure if the price has gone up.

I’ve just ordered a mustard yellow pom Pom bag which had two straps included for free with a code. I shall come back with and answer once it’s arrived.

I've got Pom Pom one in black. My only regret is that practically every school mum at the gate also has it...

These bags are pretty much all from the same source in Italy so no point spending £80+, tough, admittedly the colour choice can be limited on eBay. You can also get those straps on EBay too.

I've got a Pom Pom London one in black. It came with two straps and a free 100% cashmere bobble hat which I thought wasn't bad for under £100. The hat is gorgeous.

The leather is lovely and soft and it seems good quality. My only gripe is the metalwork on it, which you can see online is gold (which I don't mind) but it's quite a bright and shiny cheap looking gold colour. It puts me off a bit to be honest. Not enough to send it back, but I don't love it.

I've also got a similar style but different colour canvas one from (which they do in leather but I fancied canvas that time) from Boden which I love.

Bought a black boxy Fablou bag when I arrived here in 2019. Wear it everyday and it simply wipes down. I opted for the wider leather strap.

Just to add the reason I opted for the Fablou and not the Pompom os the solid silver-coloured metal work which I far prefer to the gold of the Pompom bags.

I've ordered a pom pom to look at. It's hard when you can't see the colours in real life.
