I’m carrying extra weight following the birth of my baby seven weeks ago. Right now all I have that fits me are some new jeans, which are far too hot in this heatwave! I need recommendations for not overly expensive light trousers to get me through the next month. I have no idea what styles will look most flattering. I’ve gone from a size 10 to a size 14. Help!

There was a thread on here recently about harem trousers with lots of recommendations for different price points. I have heard good things about forgotten tribes on here and from friends.

I've bought some drawstring trousers from Tu sainsburys. M&S has a big section full of loose looking trousers too in a similar style Smile

I'd go for harem pants, Hush ones are nice (wore them post C section) but on the thicker side. Forgotten Tribes have a range of high/medium/low crotch ones.

I've bought a few pairs of culottes recently, from m&s and Peacocks. Not sure how flattering they are but my god they're comfy and cool! Like pyjamas!

Hush Santana culottes. I have them in Khaki but they come in two other colours. Im currently 39 weeks pregnant and they still fit me, (they fitted pre pregnancy too) they are so stretchy, comfortable and look smart as they are a silky material. They are really cool to wear in this weather.
One tip, if they are too static, just wash them once and the static goes.

Hush has loads of elasticated waist trousers in linen and other very light fabrics which are really comfy and are all a bit different from one another in terms of cut, fabric, colour etc.

Forgotten Tribes harem trousers. I absolutely love them! I am 2.5 weeks post caesarean #2 and they are my favourite to wear.
