Comfy but cool sandals for city break

I’ve got some chunky flatforms and a pair of Havianas both of which look nice but are useless (and in the case of the flipflops sometimes painful) for walking very far.

I’m off on a 4 day break soon with someone I’ve not been dating long so I’d like to look good but I don’t want to ruin the trip by having sore feet (although he does do a great foot massage!)

Any suggestions please?

I say the same thing on every sandals thread: Josef Seibel. Very comfortable, not fashionable so timeless, buy neutral/tan and they go with everything, or do what I did and buy every colour ( once you've found a style which is the most comfortable for you) so you have a few years' worth!

Birkenstocks!

I like teva sandals, walked for miles in them. Not everyone’s taste but they look alright with a lot of different outfits and are very very comfy

Teva or Air & Grace foot bed ones.

I tried some fit flop sling back type sandals recently and they also looked they would be comfy but I opted for the air & grace ones in the end.

I'm also a fan of Mephisto Helen sandals but these don't have a heel strap so i find my feet get tired if I walk more than about 5km

(I've walked 22km mostly in my Teva's today and my feet are still fine).

As a sufferer of plantar fasciitis I can thoroughly recommend fitflops

They might not all look stylish, and I don't like the toe post ones, but I can thoroughly recommend their other sandals in terms of comfort.

I swear by fitflops all my footware are different styles of fitflops. I can walk for miles in them as they have memory foam insoles.
