Alternative to St Tropez in shower gradual tan

I've used this for years and love it, but suddenly can't find it anywhere, except on ebay for hugely inflated prices (probably people who have a stash and realise it's hard to come by).

I do also use the ST watermelon and Bondi Beach gradual tan lotions but really love the in shower one as it always comes out so evenly.

I'm going on holioday in 2 weeks and don't have time to get an actual tan beforehand!

Embrace your natural skin tone?

We need to show some solidarity and make this fashionable. 😉

I’m with you, I’m really disappointed this has been discontinued. It was so nice and subtle, didn’t smell, didn’t stain sheets, just evened up my skin tone a bit with a slight glow. Did you find anything close OP? (I’m just squeezing the remnants from a tube I bought last year)

RingoTsar · 18/07/2022 18:15

Oh no! I didn’t realise this had been discontinued - this is the only gradual tan product that has ever worked for me. Better use my last tube sparingly!

MsDastardley · 18/07/2022 18:50

Bondi Sands Pure gradual tan lotion is quite nice. My legs are pale so I just use to bring up to similar colour to my arms. It’s clear so no transfer, and no smell. The wash in does sound good though.

I’m going to try the St Tropez express today and wash off after an hour. It’s way more messing around than the shower one though.

taybert · 22/07/2022 11:39

Meh. I smell of biscuits.

Lalahmama3BB · 13/12/2022 22:29

Did anyone ever find an alternative? Still miss this product. I now blend in with the snow! ☹️⛄️

CuntingCMS · 08/05/2024 09:48

Is there any update ? I still miss this product and have not found one as easy to use .

Iloveshihtzus · 08/05/2024 11:26

Just on to see if there is an alternative as this was my go to - I only ran out at the end of last Summer and now I don’t know what to use.

taybert · 11/05/2024 08:27

Nah, I was googling again this week in case they’d brought it back but they haven’t ☹️ The express tan for an hour was fine colour wise but much more hassle than the shower one and stronger smelling. I’m so cross they stopped making it. The only criticism I could find for it was that it wasn’t dark enough but if they marketed it for the pasty ones they’d have been on to a winner!

Shrimpseyelashes · 20/05/2024 22:18

I was gutted when this was discontinued. I found this- it’s slightly more of a faff as need to leave on for 9 mins and has a strong guide colour but similar idea..

CuntingCMS · 01/06/2024 14:12

I am still looking for an alternative can’t believe there is nothing similar

sweetpickle2 · 21/10/2024 22:28

Resurrecting this thread as I have just discovered Jergens Wet Skin which is the same as the old St Tropez shower gradual tan. It’s not cheap, £15 from Amazon, but it’s amazing (this isn’t an ad or anything I just love it)! amzn.eu/d/bxCIMZd

CuntingCMS · 22/10/2024 20:31

Thanks @sweetpickle2 will give this a go !

tyaug · 16/04/2026 08:39
