Trying to find a nice nightdress or top for gift

Intended recipient is size 16 and about 5ft 2. Likes bold floral prints and colours but not too Hawian Shirt type or abstract, more William Morris arty.

Short or 3/4 length sleeves. Ideally very few buttons or fastenings, no additional bling / sequins / bows / frills / lace / slogans. Machine washable.
Looking for a top or nightdress.
I'm thinking roughly knee length if a nightie (so on model would be more mini length). Likes reds, purples, yellows, greens. Cotton preferred, everyday wear rather than dressed up, although that's subjective I know.

I thought I had cracked it with Next's William Morris range but everything I want is out of stock when you actually try to buy it and no stock with 100 or so miles. Nearest is Clacton, I am in NW!
The bedding is nice but so expensive!

There's a Cath Kidson sweet pea apron if I get desperate but that seems a cop out.
Have run out of ideas where else to try.
Anyone seen anything along these lines please? Ideally not more than £50.

Have you looked at A Hundred Stars? They do really nice cotton print dressing gowns and kimonos

I'm still in mine Grin

The sale section of Fable and Eve is closer to reasonably priced and rather nice. Not 100% cotton but a decent viscose cotton mix.

Beebumble2 · 09/07/2022 16:01

I’ve bought several presents from from Their Nibs. Beautiful patterns, well made and most things are 100% cotton.

Scout2016 · 09/07/2022 17:07

Not heard of most of these places, thank you! Except Hundred Stars and yes,got her a kimono last birthday! @jeaux90
You're on point!

@Scout2016 I've got my best mate a few things from there, always loves it.

What did you decide on in the end? (I am soooo nosey Grin)

Scout2016 · 10/07/2022 13:55

@jeaux90 ha, I always want an update too.
No purchase yet. No success with nighties kn either site. I liked the Lupin (first chice as toweling so bit different from last year's kimono) and butterfly robes at Their Nibs. But size I wanted sold out. Tried other stockists but no luck.

Wondering about this or other from No Logo-chic but worried quality might be a bit dodge.

Or a leafy Wolf and Badger one but that might be horrible.
Not my sort of thing so hard to tell.

I bought a lovely cotton kimono for my mum from Happy Cabbage on Etsy. It looks like they also have nighties.

Love that Nologo one!

jeaux90 · 10/07/2022 14:48

I love the Nologo one too, I think I prefer the blue version though.

Scout2016 · 10/07/2022 16:28

I prefer the blue too but looked through photos and she wears pinks a lot so, order has been made. Fingers crossed.
