Styling product to keep hair in place?

I wear my hair tied up a lot and am prone to rogue flyaway strands. I’d like to look more groomed - has anyone got any good suggestions for a smoothing, fixing product?

Good old fashioned hairspray sprayed onto a hairbrush then brushed through your hair as you put it up.

Hairspray after you've tied it back.

Alternatively, try putting a bit of mouse or gel through your hair as you tie it back.
