Help - what to wear with a mum tum!

Have had my second and final c-section - have a couple of stone to lose which mostly sits as a big tum and thighs and a horrible, big c-section overhang. I’m a size 14 at the moment, weight coming down post baby but desperately need stuff to wear and really want to feel happy and not frumpy! I realised 90% of my wardrobe is pretty out of date after the thread the other day and now I feel totally I confident about what to wear.

Also breastfeeding so finding the mix quite tricky but I don’t want to buy more maternity stuff as I won’t be having another baby so seems a waste of money.

one problem is that normal jeans sit under the overhang so most tops are at risk or riding up and exposing it!

what can I wear which is either currently in style or classic? Quite fancy a capsule wardrobe as working on my weight to get back to a normal BMI.

any ideas or help is so gratefully received!!!

I'm in same position myself. I found Lee mom jeans very good (on Amazon) - I got waist 32 and I'm size 12-14. They are high waisted so tummy doesn't overhang. Not bought other bottoms as I intend to lose the weight. I've bought some nice shirts & blouses as breastfeeding, I figure I will still use these even when I lose a bit of weight as they will just look a bit oversized then.

I didnt have a c section but still have a mum tum to hide and hips etc and bf. I got some Aimee jeans sized up to 16 that sit above mum tum and hide it well and some t shirts from next and sainsbury's that cover nicely but easy access for bf. As i lost weight i shrunk the jeans in the wash so they're still fine. Im 4 months pp now. People comment on how much weight ive lost but it mainly clothing choices i look slimmer than i am. I've lot about 7kg so far. Still got 8kg to get to pre pregnancy weight.

Try mid rise jeans and smart joggers.

High waisted jeans and trousers hide a mum tum well and give a smooth silhouette even when tops rise up. No more low waist bottoms for me!

I'd recommend longer tunic style tops to avoid the riding up issue. You can get them in colours and styles and if you wear them with slim leg chinos/trousers you can dress them both up and down with different shoes/accessories.
