Just seen some on Amazon, are these the ones to get?!

I got these ones as a gift for my sister and she raves about them. These are compression ones which as well as helping to keep your clothes organised also allows you to pack more because the air is compressed out of them.

Eagle creek seem to be good. You can get them in hiking and camping shops. I would also recommend getting ones with compartments for clean and dirty clothes as then you can separate them. Muji also do packing cubes.

Yep, those compression ones linked to in the first reply, from Amazon.

These from Etsy www.etsy.com/shop/drawstringuk

I got some from Poundland. They’re nothing special but they don the job for a quid each.

Ikea

CMOTDibbler · 05/07/2022 09:48

I have one set of Amazon basics which have lasted for years of heavy use, and recently got a free set from Mia Tui which seem nice and strong. No need for anything fancy, I just squash mine as I zip them up to compress, and put dirty stuff in the biggest one while I'm away. If its really minging/damp I put things in a carrier bag (always have a couple folded up tight in my suitcase) and then in the packing cube

The John Lewis ones are great but I see they are out if stock, half the price of those amazon ones! www.johnlewis.com/go-travel-packing-cubes-pack-of-3/p4061077

I've got a set of eagle creek cubes that I bought over 15 years ago, I use them every time I go away, they are great quality and a good shape for fitting lots in and packing into a bag neatly. I've also got some Ikea ones and I don't rate those compared to the eagle creek ones, but they do the job and are cheap enough.

Marmite27 · 05/07/2022 09:53

I got mine from Flying Tiger.

jay55 · 05/07/2022 09:57

Do you want packing cubes to keep things separate or compression cubes to reduce space?

Compression cubes use a camping shop, packing cubes anywhere that has travel stuff or odds and ends.

Yikes! Those Etsy bags, £10 each. Someone's laughing all the way to the bank.
I have this 7-piece set from Amazon. Well made, use it all the time campervanning. Sorry can't seem to link to Amazon

I got a set from Amazon
but I got a set free from Mia TUI when I bought a bag last year

cottagegardenflower · 05/07/2022 10:18

Amazon. Brilliant

Divebar2021 · 05/07/2022 11:03

The Eagle Creek ones are really
great quality. I’ve had cheaper ones which have bitten the dust after one or two uses.

Divebar2021 · 05/07/2022 11:07

My other packing tip if you ever go to the US is to buy to ziplock bags from Hefty ( all the sizes you can afford). I’ve had mine for 7 years and are still going strong. When DD was little I would pack a daily outfit in each bag ( including socks etc ) but they’re really useful for everything really. Sadly I’ve never found them on sale here.

chipsandpeas · 05/07/2022 11:10

I have a set of compression Amazon ones and also a compression set on gonex ones both bought from Amazon and they can make a difference packing

VaVaVoombangabang · 05/07/2022 11:26

I have some from Amazon, but also some I bought in Aldi which the material is not as thick as the Amazon ones (will try and find them on line) they do the same job.

I use different colours for myself and DH, makes it so easy to identify when I spread the luggage between cases

jeaux90 · 05/07/2022 13:53

@chipsandpeas which ones are better? I roll my stuff for packing, I'm wondering whether the compression ones are ok for that
