Mix and match bikini - yay or nay

Don’t think anyone really cares wear what suits/fits will look much better than colours. Nothing worse than an I’ll fitting bikini top and string knickers whatever the colour.

I don’t like mis matched bikinis myself. To me it’s only 2 tiny bits of fabric so just looks a bit lazy if you can’t find 2 bits the same ( how it feels to me, I realise plenty are designed that way)

Also I agree with getting one that fits. However string bikinis look the best even on fat women. Skin looks better than material digging in.

It’s my quest of a flattering fit (both top and bottoms) that has led me to this question. I recognise the points about it looking lazy hence I would only do it if the fabric texture was a perfect match.

I hate buying swimwear, I find something I am happy with every 5-10 years and in between I just make do with stuff that is ok.

I don't mind different colours top and bottom if it looks like it goes together. But not two random items as if you got dressed in the dark.

I mix and match. I need different sizes top and bottom, so sets don’t work. If they’re sold separately I often don’t like the shape of either the top or bottom but like the other and the pattern. My favourite bottoms are plain block colours, so a pattered top looks fine.

I mix and match. I like colour block for bootm, preferably in darker colours but I'm a little bolder at the top. I only buy tops that look ok with my bottoms though, this way I have more options.

I used to do that when younger and needed top several sizes bigger to fit my boobs in. But nowadays they do bra sized swimwear.

I really like to mix and match, I think it can look great.

I always wear black bikini bottoms as I can buy them cheaper as I know I will need a 12.

I then add different colour tops as I need them in a 32GG and underwired so will pick bright florals, leopard print or a bright all over colour.

Nothing to do with being lazy but more about being able to buy separates as I need bra sized tops to support me.
