Elizabeth Arden retinol capsules

I’m about to shell out for 90 capsules. Looks like a good price. Before I buy I just want to check are they any good, are there better products for the same price? I’m early 40’s and my lines are starting to get more obvious!

I found them nice in terms of texture but I believe very low Retinol dosage so not sure they will be very transformative.

Like the previous poster said, you can get other retinol products for much cheaper which do pretty much the same thing. Brand names like EA are just charging a fortune for the same active ingredients.

If you want a higher strength retinoid, look into prescription strength tretinoin - you can get it from your dermatologist, or from companies like Skin & Me or Dermatica.

Thanks both. My skin is very dry so I’m not sure I want to jump into tretinoin just yet. I’ve just been using Cerave cleaners and moisturiser (and sunscreen) for years so need something with a bit more oomph but won’t cause my skin to react.

I’ve seen the ordinary and inkey list mentioned so might start there instead of paying for a big name.

I have used both these and then just normal retinol (not tret). I really like the capsules as they are very moisturizing as well, but for better value I have stuck with the other brand. You can use one capsule over 2 nights.

I'm dry too. I would recommend Medik8 Crystal Retinol if you don't want to take the Tret plunge.

Squalene oil or vaseline
