Best body hair removal method for a pre-teen?

I had hoped we’d at least get to secondary school before DD (11) wanted to remove any body hair but she has decided she wants her armpit hair gone. What’s the best / gentlest method? A razor seems a bit risky but It’s years since I last used cream. Are any less likely to cause irritation than others?

Dd just used a razor and shaving gel. She likes the olay razors with soap bits

My dd12 uses a razor and hasn't cut herself yet! She started when she was in a dance show and had to wear a leotard. Recently she's decided she prefers to leave it though.

For some reason I thought she should avoid shaving but I’ve no idea why! I also think she might try it a few times then give up for a while. I happily go weeks (months) over the winter between shaves.
