There are loads of people on here saying skin & me is good but usually followed by here’s my discount code!

if you have used skin & me did it make a difference to your skin & could you justify the cost?
did the one tube thing last a whole month or did you need to order more often?

Sorry I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to say that I’ve been using Skin + Me for the past 6 months and yesterday a complete stranger told me I have beautiful skin! I’m almost 43 so was chuffed with the compliment!

My current routine is Skin + Me daily doser at night followed by Lidl’s Cien Q10 serum and in the morning I just use the Cien serum after cleansing. Oh and factor 50 every day too (have done for years!).

I was originally prescribed the daily doser to clear up hyper pigmentation around my chin and jaw line and it’s worked a treat. Would highly recommend.

Skinandme, oh I don't like to hate on people.......but the amount that comes out is so small, the hydration is not enough and please ladies it's not cheap. I could buy something non branded and better. How much does the fancy packaging cost for me to need to twist it 2 or 3 times to cover my face and neck.?Please don't fall for it. Only my opinion. Hope it helps.

Skin and me is a total con, honestly my brother is a chemist I gave him my tube and he tested it, the result was everything about it was damaging to my skin. Also the amount it each tube was so little he said a regular outlet would be in trouble for saying it could last a month. Just his professional opinion but I knew I needed to ask him when it stung my skin. And ran out so quickly.

Bell237 · 02/04/2023 05:16

Don't use it hun. Honestly my brother is a chemist, after my 2nd month I told him it was stinging my skin and not lasting as it should. He took what remained and basically said do not put this on your skin ever again and asked me to cancel my bank card, which was kinda worrying for me, but I trust his professional judgement so I did. Up to you how you go forward and if it works for you great. But anything that is good should not be only available in such small amounts that you can not get enough to cover your hole face and certainly should not hurt you skin. Not to mention the difficulty in contacting them to stop subscription so I had to actually change my bank card. My skin felt like it was covered in something acidic. I really hope iv not said anything to worry you and have helped. Xxxxxxxx peace and love

@MsOllie
Wow! Hope you have sent those photos to skin + me, surely they would pay you loads to be their model.
You look gorgeous.

Maybe you had a bad doser @Bell237 I’m no fan of Skin and Me having found what was a good concept poorly executed, but I found a doser could last me at least six weeks, if not more. And I found that consistently, hence stopping: I didn’t want to pay for a new doser each and every month when there was so much excess product.

Runaround50 · 02/04/2023 10:25

@Bell237 is that the same for dermatica? I've started their 4% hydroquinone and tret for melasma. I seem to tolerate it every few days but I don't know if it's any good for my skin.

It's not meant to hydrate, it's an active treatment
It's clearly listed what is in it, and is ingredients that are well known and have been about for years

yogaretreat · 02/04/2023 12:25

Lots of chemists who are doctors like Lab Muffin on instagram talk extensively about Tretinoin, it's been highly researched. I would trust the opinion of specialist skin doctors over your brother to be honest.

Wineloffa · 02/04/2023 12:30

It’s not meant to be a moisturiser. It contains active ingredients used to treat problem areas, in my case hyperpigmentation. You put a moisturiser on over it. Also, you only need one twist per day which should last the month.

Runaround50 · 02/04/2023 12:33

@Wineloffa what's your combination for hyperpigmentation? I've got tret and hydroquinone for melasma. I order from dermatica though. Has yours faded?

Wineloffa · 02/04/2023 12:38

@Runaround50 mine is currently 0.27% tret, 4% Niacinamide and 4% Azelaic Acid.

I have hyperpigmentation all over my face which was particularly dark around my chin and jawline. Since using Skin + Me, it’s faded a lot and the texture of my skin has improved too.

Runaround50 · 02/04/2023 12:45

Oh that's good to hear. I have 20% Azeliac acid on prescription, but most members of the melasma fb group, seem to think it's useless on its own? So I opted for the 4% hydroquinone and 0.05 tret.

Bell237 · 02/04/2023 22:54

Ladies I'm out, my only desire was to buy a moisturiser which is how I responded to all the questions, so those of you saying I misunderstood the concept have mis understood me. I know what I asked for, I know what I got and I know I was not happy. Thanks for your opinions but not interested in wasting my time back and forth on the point. I just wanted to help others. Sorry if anyone took offence to this. Peace and love.
