Before I choose between these two bags are there any others I should consider?

As a gift for a significant anniversary DH would like to buy me a handbag. I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to nice/quality bags, but have found these two that I like and would appreciate some help either choosing between them or for suggestions of others that might fit the bill.

I want something I can use everyday with the Aspinal one being at the top end of what I’m willing to spend. I want something that can be worn cross body and ideally works all year round with most outfits. I am drawn to the colour of the strathberry in the pictures but the more sensible option might be to get it just in tan to make it more versatile… but it that case I may prefer the Aspinal one, I’m not sure!

I’m being indecisive :) and would appreciate thoughts, opinions and suggestions! Thank you!

Ooh I like the strathberry more! I do like them both though (sorry no real help!).

The aspinal one is lovely. The other one is very 90s looking and so light in colour it would show every scuff and mark.

I bought a crossbody Anya Hindmarch in similar colours to the Strathberry one and loved it... however it stained really easily, particularly against denim jeans and just didn't age well. The Aspinal one will age really well.

Thanks everyone. That’s a really good point about staining @MavisMonkey so while I do love the colours of the strathberry I can see it probably isn’t either the most practical or versatile choice.

I was drawn to the Aspinal as more or less the first bag I saw when I walked into my local department store and I think that made me doubt myself about feeling like I shouldn’t make a snap decision - but I did/do love it!

I have quite a few Aspinal bags and DP has various things like a wallet, laptop case etc and they age very well. Never had any issues at all.
Definitely look out for their discount codes as they’re quite generous.
