Visible pores on my nose. Please help before I go mad!

I was using No7 Foundation happily until the end of last year; bought a new bottle and the woman mentioned the ingredients have changed.

Ever since then it sort of sits in the pores on my nose. I've tried 4 different primers and it makes no difference.

It looks gross. How on Earth can I solve this? Is it a heavier foundation I need, is it a primer thing, or something else completely?

Help!!

Pores DON'T shrink.

I know, I know. Almost everything you read in product descriptions and adverts, even beauty columns talk about pores shrinking.

Doesn't mean it's true.

Pores don't open and close. We all have them and as we get older things tend to stretch them so they appear more visible.

All products can do is disguise them - they might look smaller, but they're not.

So, op, I'm afraid no one can recommend you a problem that will help shrink your pores. You'll need to keep trying to find a foundation that works for you.

Dealing with any oiliness will help how make up sits on your skin and an exfoliating acid will help to keep them clean thus reducing their visibility.

I got an electronic facial spatula, sounds ridiculous but it's helped mine! You can get them off amazon.

Yeah pores don't shrink but you can disguise them with a good primer. Elf poreless putty primer is good.

As my pores have got more visible and there are more fine lines round my eyes, I look better moisturised and bare-faced than in foundation.

L'Oréal Peeling gylcolic toner is great!! Massively reduced mine and lasted ages

You need a new moisturiser and primer combo. I also found a base layer of something like clinique city block helps before a primer. Mine are virtually invisible with that under.

how interesting that pores don’t shrink! As mentioned I had some visible pores on my nose, but they disappeared when I used the toner.

hope you get sorted
