Holiday shopping in Liverpool

I'm spending a few days in Liverpool next week and the week after going to southern Italy for 2 weeks. Apart from the usual chains can anyone recommend independent shops for reasonably priced casual cotton summer dresses and trousers? I also need a swimsuit. My usual go-to is White Stuff/Joe Browns type of thing.

Cannot recommend anywhere in particular but the Liverpool one centre is fantastic and the streets around it are great too, haven't been for years to Liverpool shopping but I thoroughly enjoyed it when I did, I must go again sometime.

I've been shopping in Liverpool today and the sales have started in a lot of the stores.

Independent shops in the city centre selling reasonably priced cotton dresses and trousers are non existent I would say. There may be some in the side streets or up on Bold Street which has a more independent vibe but I genuinely can't think of any.
You will find John Lewis, Zara, Arket, New Look, Oliver Bonas, And Other Stories, Reiss, Ted Baker, Mint Velvet The White Company, Tessuti and Flannels plus a few others that I can't remember in what I would call Liverpool One.

M&S, Primark, Next and TK Max are on Church Street, H&M on Lord Street and Cos in College Lane, all of which are only a stones throw from each other really and within the wider Liverpool One.
Cricket which was at one time considered to be a Liverpool institution ( and may still be for all I know) much favoured by the likes of Colleen Rooney can be found within the Met Quarter on Whitechapel which is just off Church Street.
if you Google shops in Liverpool One before you go, take what comes up with a pinch of salt as there have been a lot of changes recently.
