They were my "go to" for workwear, I've just gone to the website to search for new trousers and it turns out they shut down in March! I knew that their shops closed a while ago but now the website has gone as well. Ffs, I haven't bought anything new for work since before the pandemic which may have contributed to their demise, thinking about it... and was looking forward to a browse. I need to find somewhere else to get decent quality (machine washable) office wear. Humph.

Oh, so sad! I just checked and it is still available here in Canada. Perhaps you could order from the US site? I've always liked the store, and in fact am wearing slim cargoes from them today.

That is odd as I only noticed BR being stocked by John Lewis recently

Zalando are also stocking some BR. They don't have a huge amount but what they have is quite work appropriate.

Ah that is a shame, although weirdly I used to live in the US and shopped at BR all the time and thought it was great. When I moved back to the UK I was pleased to see it over here but despite looking a lot, I could never really see anything I wanted to buy, so I wonder if they tailored their collection for location? I still wear my 15 year old BR skinny jeans and they are still going strong.

Still available at John Lewis - but like you, I will miss them.

@LoveItOrListIt I think it was very American, in an efficient, clean cut kind of way which maybe just doesn’t work so well over here.

That's kinda why I liked it (I like to think I'm an efficient, clean-cut short of person ). No stupid flouncy sleeves or frills. Just nice basics.

*sort, not short 🤦🏼‍♀️ In fact, I've got stupidly long legs so the fact that their trousers were long enough was another of their selling points!!!
