Bleached jeans - unflattering if you aren't super slim?

Been ordering some summery things online and trying to work out what to keep. Got some pale denim girlfriend jeans in the sale, not 100% sure if they are flattering though, given that I am round of tum and thigh. Darker stonewashed ones look better but not particularly summery.
Would I be wise to stick to deeper shades of denim?

I think it's wise to only keep what you feel good in or feel comfortable in. Usually for me if i'm trying something on and feel unsure, that never really changes if I keep it and it either never, or rarely, gets worn. These days I send it back if i'm at all unsure.

I do think paler colours are less slimming than darker ones as a general rule but by no means does that mean something looks bad just because an alternative makes you look slimmer. The only way to really give a meaningful opinion is a photo of them on.

Jeans aren't summery! Get your legs out in a dress - I'm well-rounded (especially on my stomach and bosom) and have bought a few nice cotton dresses. Shaved, moisturised and fake-tanned my legs too Grin

If you have comparatively slimmer legs and narrow hips but wide shoulders, big stomach and breasts for example (inverted triangle, apple shape) then wearing a light bottom such as bleached jeans and a darker colour on top will balance out the proportions. Some pear shaped women like to emphasize the size of their thighs and hips as this is a shape very much in vogue and they could of course wear light denim.
