Tattooed eyebrows

Saw a friend this weekend and she has obviously had her eyebrows tattooed. It looks SO odd!
Why do people do this?
They are not even the same colour as her hair.

Just had mine done yesterday and I am distraught
I ask for a micro blading but feel this is nothing like I asked for
my husband looks at me and laughs each time
feel like I can only go out with sunglasses on
so regretting it

They are dark and defined like that when first done, they will start to scab and fade and maybe even go patchy. Then after a top up and once they have healed they will look fine I promise. They should also reduce in size, the skin tends to be swollen for a while after having them done.
Don't worry give them time

bagheera92 · 28/07/2022 17:51

So these are now mine healed , and after my 6 week top up .

I've had mine done but they never looked like that @Mckmck123 - the shape is quite thick isn't it? They will fade but the shape probably won't change much. Did you see previous work? If that ended up looking good you are probably ok.

Mine look like yours, you really wouldn't notice if you weren't looking. They are very scary looking at first like a PPs and I was worried but they looked great in the end.

Cas112, Bagheera92. One French egg
thanks for your replies
feeling a bit better with your responses.
still regretting it at the moment

This was the difference in mine after first application. Try to find a phibrow specialist. It was the best money I spent last year.

Are we talking about microblading or tattoos here?

bagheera92 · 28/07/2022 18:03

I had nanobalding , it's exact same as micro blading but finer blades Smile

My eyebrows are very much like yours in the before picture. The after picture is amazing, they look really natural.

OneFrenchEgg · 28/07/2022 20:35

If you are really worried ask to speak to an artist who does corrections? You could pay to get some advice? Or Reddit has a nice forum for eyebrows micro blading.

ruthiesi · 28/07/2022 20:46

I think they must have been fashionable in the '60s or similar as I've seen a few on the older generation. They don't age well and look more odd, let's just say.

ruthiesi · 28/07/2022 20:48

@Mckmck123 I think those will look better once they settle. Early days!

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 28/07/2022 20:53

Menopause has taken mine away completely so I'm considering this. Having no eyebrows is a bit crap and maybe those slagging off the process could consider that?

bestbefore · 28/07/2022 21:13

Def philibrows is the most natural looking ones to get

@IamMummyhearmeROAR agree. It's so distressing loosing them, they really define your face.
The modern techniques can be so good now

Jjacobb · 28/07/2022 23:31

I had mine done three weeks ago and I'm so happy with them. I'm going back next week for the touch up so they're not finished yet.
I'm also going to have my lips tattooed.

@Mckmck123 they'll fade and won't look that obvious.

thankyou. , I hope so , still get a shock when I look in the mirror at the moment .

@namechangeagaintwice Wow those look really natural! That's exactly what I want. My own eyebrows are so sparse, anything dramatic would look all wrong. What did you ask for when you got yours done? I use an eyebrow pencil very lightly and it makes all the difference, but obviously it just comes off easily, so all I want is a few more fine hairs to fill in, almost unnoticeable!

This is exactly what I'm looking for but I'm scared of it looking terrible! @namechangeagaintwice they look amazing, really natural.

namechangeagaintwice · 29/07/2022 11:14

@19Bears @smelters
Thank you so much 😊 I just got the phi brows (micro blading) and not any ombré. If the ombré is too heavy that's when I think you can get the dark 'slug' look which is not attractive 🙁
Make sure you have a look at all the therapists photos on intsa to see their previous work. Are our in London?

19Bears · 29/07/2022 11:21

Ha, no @namechangeagaintwice I'm in the far away and unglamorous North East 😅I'll see if I can find the phibrows anywhere. Definitely looks worth it if this is the result.

19Bears · 29/07/2022 11:31

I've just found someone who does it, half a mile from me!!! Expensive though 😬

These look like combi brows, did they use the machine as well as microblade? They will be dark, they will scab and they will be a lot lighter underneath. The blocky colour will not last once the scabs are off.

Did you go somewhere that was recommended? Did you look at their work before you had them done and agree on colours etc?

CherryBlossom321 · 29/07/2022 11:32

There is a healing process of up to six weeks. From the moment the practitioner has finished, they will darken continuously for a few days. Then they will scab - this has been the hardest part for me, but mine have almost finished scabbing now. The pigment beneath will then seem too light for a while until healing is complete.

The process slices open your skin, so of course they won't look "right" immediately. A good practitioner will discuss the healing process, and be honest about the initial panic stage before beginning work.

Looking at my own at the moment, I'm thinking it will likely be the best thing I've done for my face - being browless was not a good look for me, and I was constantly paranoid about it.
