Pale and uninteresting...

I'm in my early 60s and have always struggled with my paleness, freckles and inability to show my body in this intense heat. I'm slim and active but just feel I'd rather partially cover up than expose my very pale, freckled body. I know there's heaps of fake tans out there, but I've never gone down that road, feeling I shouldn't hide behind a fake tan. Ironically I've been to Australia four times and the one thing that stood out to me was the number of women covering themselves up against the intense sun to avoid sun damage.

I'm much happier in every other season when I can cover up, but summer and I just don't make great partners. Anyone else out there pale and happy with their lot?

I’m pale and embrace it. I’ve never bothered with fake tan because it just looks unnatural on my colouring. Have you done the seasonal colour analysis? Finding it on MN has really helped me as now I know to avoid black and white and go for neutrals like cream, grey and navy instead as they suit my skin better.
