Hard dry patches on top of feet anyone?

Does anyone else have very dry, hard knobbly skin patches on the top of their foot? I suppose it's the bony bit underneath where you tie your laces. Mine are so dry the patch of skin has become darker. I sometimes use fake tan but that makes the dry patch look awful. I've tried using a foot file and exfoliating to no avail.

I'm 40 and these have appeared in the last year or so if that's relevant. It's making me embarrassed of my feet when I wear flip flops etc. Has anyone got any tips for this please?

Following! I thought I was the only one.. I thought mine maybe were related to sun damage (burnt my feet slightly wearing sandals while pregnant) but now thinking it may not be due to that!

My husband has these. Sort of hard rough lumps but not in places where there would be friction. The Dr didn't really know what they were but suspected a form of eczema. Had an ultrasound and everything because they are quite... odd. Nothing sinister though.
