Wide leg trousers (or cropped but wide)but cheap

Do you have any recommendations? I ve seen a few new ones on eBay but it's so hard to know if the quality is any good. I'm looking for wide leg trousers (ideally linen but anything floaty and airy) want pull on elasticated waist ideally. It's for holiday in Florida. I hate the thought of shorts and don't look great in skirts. What do you recommend?

I got some great navy linen-mix trousers for £12 from my local discount shop. You should definitely be able to find some cheap ones if you shop about.

I have these from H & M in the black too, they are really flattering on....elasticated waist, side pockets and they drape really well, no creasing - and all for £12.99...

I have some linen ones too, but they're £30 - they have a deep shirred waist band so can be worn high waisted or low hipsters...

I second this suggestion. Elastic waist, lightweight, and not polyester so ideal for the heat. I’m 5’6 and they are just above ankle length on me.

M&S have linen mix wide leg trousers from £22.50, crepe and pure linen wide legs are £ 29.50, crops a bit cheaper. (Sorry I'm rubbish at links).
Have a look at feedback on their website if you decide to order, there's usually helpful comments about quality and fit.

New Look had lots of different patterned ones in today, with flat front and elasticated back, these were really nice IRL.......

These look good but I cannot do pattern.

I have a pair of "pyjamas style" trousers from Peacocks which sound like the ones your describing but I can't see if this year's have the waistband and pleats though.

Got mine from M&S. The white is not a stark white which I prefer but actually are quite nice.

Have placed an order but sizes out of stock so not as big an order as I'd have liked.

I've been living in these for years in summer (the linen ones) and have bought the crepe ones (they're a bit dressier) on the back of Kat Farmer's Insta. Also have the jersey wide leg ones.

They are all brilliant. And don't shrink- I had some linen ones from Monsoon which cost 3 times as much, didn't fit as well, and shrank to the point of almost being cropped after a couple of washes.

Boden and Cos have more expensive, and in the case of Cos undoubtedly better quality linen trousers, but I wouldn't swap my M&S ones for the world!

H&M linen & linen mix wide crop trousers are brilliant. I have one of each.
Also the crinkle cotton trousers at H&M are lovely & light but not quite so wide legged - picture of the black attached.
M&S crinkle cotton beach trousers are wide ankle length cheesecloth style trousers. I have them shortened to a cropped length as I find them easier to wear like this.
