What would you wear to a relaxed English wedding in November?

I’m not after specific outfits as such but out of curiosity, what would you wear? It’s in the Yorkshire Dales and I don’t want to freeze but equally, turning up in a ski suit for warmth might be rather too relaxed…

I'd go for a velvet jumpsuit x

Velvet dress or if the wedding is at a Venue so majority of time indoors a lovely silk dress, or patterned dress, maybe plain navy or jewel colours & if it's draughty church first a smart coat on top or a cashmere cardigan (like Lady Sarah Chatto)

I think I’d could go for a lovely autumnal dress - I suit deep greens, rust etc so I’d wear something along those lines.

In a lovely fabric - agree velvet could be nice or a thick soft draped material. A nice cosy but smart coat/jacket.

Think I’d go for relaxed shapes but focus on nice materials and colours to make it feel special.

I'd still be warm inside so would wear the same dress and long lacy cardigan I wore to the last wedding I went to (it's not a particularly summery dress)

Then I'd use the excuse to invest in a new coat to wear over if outside for photos or if moving between venues for ceremony & reception.

Something velvet and a cape.

A dress and a really lovely coat, possibly knee boots

maybe a really nice jumper dress if its casual

Something made with fabric appropriate for the season/weather with an appropriate weight and coverage. So I'd get something that covered my arms and looked good with thick tights!
