Is cleanser a substitute for soap

or do you wash with soap first? Sorry for the daft question, starting beauty regime and want to get it right.

use cleanser instead of soap.

and then you can use a skin wash,if you feel the need to wash after cleansing...

i use a foaming cleanser to wash my face, nothing else. it is instead of soap.
i have never used cream or milky type cleansers as i feel they always leave mt face sticky and gunky. i like to use one with water.

i use a vit e face wash, soap makes skin tight
