Dr Martens - Generally a narrow or wide fit?

I've seen some Dr Marten ankle boots on the web that I fancy but can't find anywhere round here that has the style I want in my size.

I need quite a wide fitting shoe - does anyone know if Dr Martens come up wide, average or narrow before I order off the web
