Need new trainers, or should I be shot?

For everyday running to the corner shop type of thing, or to be honest, for most of the time im not at work .
I left my lovely pink ones at a hotel last week and haven't bothered trying to get them back as dp has informed me he thought they were horrid!!
So girls, i need some comfortable flat footwear for running around after a 3 year old in and the like.
Something smartish (if you can with trainers) and something that goes with jeans.
Had a look at these what do you think, am I way off the mark, help!

altough I would jsut go for black or white or grey

Clarks do some nice ones too. can't link to their site but the Jungle jazz ones are funky. Might get myself a pair!

Hmm, don't really like the jungle jazz ones, I prefer a very flat sole as im really tall.

Right I have come to the conclusion that I should definetly be shot.
Are shoes acceptable with jeans and if so what kind?
