What brand of Spiral hair bobble are the best?

My hair is really thick and heavi. My last one has just broke and I've given up with a normal hair bobble as the kinks are killing my head

I need to order a new pack but I'm looking for ones that stay strong after one use? I usually have to wrap around three times to hold the ponytail and after that the bobble is really stretched. I've tried the hairdryer on them which shrinks it but never holds the same again

I don't even know if there is such a thing as 'good' for these but recommendations anyway please?

The ones I had were just the ones they stock in Asda. Jones & Co I think

I buy them in Primark because they are massively cheaper than anywhere else, they seem to all be much of a muchness to me.

Invisibobble do an extra tough one called Power or something. Instead of the hairdryer try warm water.

LadyPoison · 29/05/2022 13:26

My hair is long thick and very very heavy - the extra strong invisibobbles are by far the best.

My hairs really thick and heavy too, mid back length, I use Invisibobble but the extra strong ones

I find the brand Invisibobble ones are the best compared to others but they're never the same as they were at the beginning of their lives! You can drop them in boiling water to shrink them back as well

I found Primark better than invisibobble but none are great, I prefer silk scrunchies now

toastofthetown · 29/05/2022 16:05

I use the Invisibobble brand ones, and they always shrink back with boiling water. Water has to be from the kettle though, as the hot tap doesn't shrink them back properly.

Invisabobble here too (just the standard ones for me but my DD had loads of hair , very long so I buy her the stronger ones )

Lindisfarne1 · 29/05/2022 17:08

I tie my hair back for bed thinking about the scrunchies for that as the invisibobbles are uncomfortable to lie down in. Don't think theyd be any good for daily use for me though I reckon they'd just slip out

Thank you! Overall consensus so I've ordered a pack of invisibobble power. Will give hot water a go too

I always use two together. Didn’t know you could heat them small again though.
