Seamstress of Bloomsbury - any other fans?

Apologies as I posted similar a while ago but had no replies!

I've fallen in love with their navy polka dot jumpsuit but two issues - it's £89 new and my size in this style is completely sold out!

Couldn't believe my luck when I found one on ebay but lost out in a bidding war with other bidders!

I've been looking at Vinted and eBay since but never find it.

Any other tips to find some second hand? Or are there other items from this range you love? The trousers in that style look good too.

Definitely a fan but not actually bought…tempted by a pair of shorts for my holidays!

@Salacia I love looking at all their stuff! Just so expensive (for my price range anyway) so really would be a treat for me!

Bringing up this old thread as I am delighted that my lovely hubby got me the jumpsuit for my birthday!

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with ideas or how to accessorise it? I'm not very stylish really but love a nod to vintage theme hence this 1940s style jumpsuit. But I also like that I can dress it down or up, wear a modern bag and shoes with it or a vintage style bag.

Would love to know anyone's thoughts thanks 😊

The only issue I’ve got is that they refuse to say who makes their clothes. I’m actually interested in whether it’s sweat shop or not - I asked direct on Instagram and they said won’t say due to company confidentiality. Doesn’t feel you with hope does it?!

Handsnotwands · 01/08/2022 07:51

It’s a lovely jumpsuit. Happy birthday. I like looking at their stuff but haven’t bought anything

i think I’d wear red shoes if I wanted to look a bit retro or the ubiquitous white trainers to dress it down a bit

ditavonteesed · 01/08/2022 07:56

Red wide belt and red shoes. Vintage type red handbag would look perfect with it.

Salacia · 01/08/2022 09:02

@MrsPear didn't know that (and ashamed to say hadn’t even thought of that). You’re right, definitely a turn off!

Salacia · 01/08/2022 09:04

Re the styling - I usually try to avoid going full retro as I like the contrast. Knitted biker jacket with white trainers I think to dress down. Navy espadrilles and a straw/natural material clutch for dressing up.

DreamloverTealover · 01/08/2022 09:24

@MrsPear that's really annoying they didn't say, you'd think if they didn't they'd want to shout about it.

I don't know 100% but it's a small vintage shop run by a local lady near me that stock them and she asked for more to be made as the jumpsuits are one of her most popular items. She said they don't mass produce and the sizes can be limited. I hope this is the case.

@Handsnotwands and @ditavonteesed I didn't think about red! I like the idea of red bag and/or shoes. I wore it this weekend with white trainers for a dressed down look

@Salacia I'm the same I like a wee nod to vintage styles rather than full on vintage look. The ladies that work at the Vintage shop are always all done up and look amazing but I couldn't pull it off!
