How do you securely tie your hair up whilst looking sophisticated?

I'm mid 40's, grown my hair out long enough to tie up for the first time in a very long time. I'd like to wear it tied up for work but don't want a pony tail. My hair is fine and silky so it needs something that will hold it securely. Any suggestions please?

Can you do a French pleat?

give it a twist and then twist in a grip!

I just twist and use a claw.
