Why are Seasalt apologising?

I received a little package in the post this morning with a pair of socks and a £10 voucher from Seasalt by way of an apology for “getting it wrong last year”.

I hardly buy anything from Seasalt anyway so no idea why they felt the need to apologise (but I’m quite happy with the socks).

what exactly DID they “get wrong”?

Actually iirc when I put in a sale order in January, the socks were refunded as out of stock, I wonder if I will get a pair...

DH has had at least 6 pairs of free socks from BAM over the past couple of years too. Nothing from Seasalt though.

BAM used to send me a free pair of socks every year. I really liked them, so started buying them and didn’t receive any more free ones. I think that I need to start playing hard to get to and stop buying to get some more free!

Seasalt did have a few glitches last year. Their new website kept showing things were in stock but said out of stock as soon as you tried to order.
There were delays with refunds too but that's been sorted brilliantly. You get your returns label online, take the parcel to the post office and then get an email with details of your refund the same day.
No socks for me sadly 😞

I get bamboo free socks too. They are lush
