First timer here, always swore agains the damn things but gave in due to the look of utter comfort and nice looking fabric, etc. Bought the L&Y in cord sea blue.
I am worried about sizing as new to this, so at 5'4 and uk8 I got the 6 reg.
I don't like the look of those mad rolls at the ankle so could get them trimmed.

So I want to ask the aficionados how easy is it to quickly use the loo?
Do you feel like 'Lulu' from Harry Enfield and Chums?
Are the cord one's too hot for summer?
Will I care? Grin

Anyone else ever totally sworn off a thing then...leapt right in?
I suppose they can always go back if they offend me.
I'm 48 and actually called Lulu. 😬

There are dungaree’s and dungarees. The shaped slightly slim ones like Wyse or white company or actually fat face in a plain denim or cord look brilliant with the right top underneath, look at Gayle Rinkoff on Instagram for inspiration. I absolutely hate the lucy and Yak and any of the baggy busy type of dungarees with no shape and look like painting overalls

I've just bought my first pair of L & Y. V excited. I was going to wear them to work on Friday (have tried on, feel 18 again) & now have to interview 😙

Personally I chose L&Y (I am not their usual target customer i dont think!) precisely because I wanted them to be practical, like overalls. Plain blue.

The tailored, more dressy versions of dungarees don't interest me, I would rather wear a dress in that sense.
I want to be able to get them mucky and do the gardening in em!

I'm looking at it more 'Monty Don' than 'Rod, Jane and Freddy' Grin

Woo!

Update from me : My cord dungarees arrived this morning. The sea blue is a gorgeous colour. I was surprised to actually really like them, they are well made, super soft, slide on and off easily and look decent. What I am most chuffed with is the cut. They nip in at the waist (they're slimming ffs, how is that even possible?) and perhaps because I sized down a bit my arse actually looks pert. I have never considered my arse to be pert before, so how that has occurred due to a pair of dungarees I do not know, lol!

Legs a touch too long, will chop.

Congrats on your first pair of dungarees op!

I have been wearing them for the last 33 years.

My current collect is:

Tommy Hilfiger 90's unisex in dark blue denim
Boyish baggy is light blue denim
LF Markey in dark blue denim

I also have:
TH dungarees shorts
Free People dungaree shorts

I actually have a pair of tan jumbo cord Levi dungarees winging their way to me as I write this.

Love them, have several. I like mine baggy with a tighter fitting top, and some ankle visible. No loo issues, I don't need to undo my L&Y ones, just slide the straps off - I've altered mine so that the straps are permanently fixed in place, with no bows or loose straps.
