Lip treatments/plumpers - waste of money?

Hi,

So I don't have thin lips, actually reasonably full, especially my bottom lip, but they're losing their definition and do look quite dehydrated.

I got drawn into a FB advert for City Lips which is hyaluronic acid based and thought it sounded quite interesting . Googled and of course found mixed reviews. I was doing research and then thought, well why can't I just add my Hado Labo hyaluronic acid to my lips? Do we really need a separate treatment for lips? I'm not really interested in the temporary lip plumpers, which just give you an allergic reaction.

Thoughts and recommendations very welcome 🙂

It can't do any harm, but some of the photos in the reviews show people who clearly have injected lip filler.

I agree those allergic reaction causing plumbers are rubbish, but you might be as well drinking a lot of water and using a good lip balm.

Plumpers not plumbers

@krill definitely some extra fillers going on in some of those before and afters!

I did actually try some of the Hado on my lips this morning, but it's very sticky, which is fine on your face, but on your lips it's a bit annoying. Maybe a night time treatment?

Update (if anyone wants one 😂) My lips are looking a feeling very soft and a bit.. pillowy (?) A little bit plumped up, but then Hado Labo definitely does that with the fine ( only fine) lines on my face, so I guess why not on my lips 🤷‍♀️

Think I might try it as an overnight treatment tonight.

Sounds promising. Might be better for a nighttime treatment if it's sticky. I do the same with lip conditioners or oils.

Elf Pout Clout Lip Plumping Pen stung my lips and especially made my top lip sore
