Hurry I think all designs are now in the sale at £49.

Fimbo · 11/01/2008 13:02

Chop chop

flowerybeanbag · 11/01/2008 13:02

I ordered the new bright red one before Christmas and it's been dispatched apparently, hoorah. Will feed back when it comes if you are still undecided by then.

MrsDandOllie · 11/01/2008 13:03

Oooh, its nice, never shopped from them before but i like it!

Tutter · 11/01/2008 13:03

unfortunately fimbo i am a 14 in boden

and do not fancy the coffee (or was it cocoa?) one

OP posts:
flowerybeanbag · 11/01/2008 13:05

this one in red

Tutter · 11/01/2008 13:06

yes fbb, let me know. red makes me look permanently hangover, so not the right one for me. and white bad also - have a 2yo and a 6mo

splodgey brown should cover the stains...

OP posts:
flowerybeanbag · 11/01/2008 13:08

no worries will do

Fimbo · 11/01/2008 13:08

Ooh Flowery, liking the bright red one. Can you post when you get if you like it etc and can you check if its like the ivory one and dry clean only. Tia

princessmel · 11/01/2008 13:08

Does anyone have a free delivery code for Boden?

wheelybug · 11/01/2008 13:10

I have this in the turquoise with brown spots and although it shouts boden it is much nicer to wear than a cagoule. It has a fleecy inside so quite warm too.

NomDePlume · 11/01/2008 13:11

I dunno, I think they are a bit shapeless and frumpy

flowerybeanbag · 11/01/2008 13:12

Fimbo on the details and measurements bit on the website it says machine washable, which was one of the reasons I went for it. Will definitely be back with a review when it arrives, hopefully today or tomorrow.

JackieNo · 11/01/2008 13:14

But on the details and measurements bit it also says 'shower proof', so it's not completely waterproof. Will that be enough?

NomDePlume · 11/01/2008 13:14

although the new facelfited version looks more fitted (and therefore, better).

Tutter · 11/01/2008 13:15

yes, i noticed that ndp

so, am justified in paying full price

OP posts:
flowerybeanbag · 11/01/2008 13:16

I hadn't noticed that bit Jackie. Hmmm. What's a definition of showerproof? Does it mean it's fine in normal rain but if you chuck a bucket of water over your head you will get wet....?

NomDePlume · 11/01/2008 13:18

I do think that a decent coat/jacket that does the job you need it to do and still looks good is something that is worth paying the extra for. Much more so than some piece of eveningwear that gets worn once, maybe twice and then shoved in the wardrobe and forgotten about.

JackieNo · 11/01/2008 13:19

I guess if it was really heavy rain, or if you had to be out in it for an hour, it might leak through - you need someone who's tested it - might be absolutely fine, and they may just be covering themselves because it hasn't got taped seams, or whatever.

flowerybeanbag · 11/01/2008 13:25

I will hope they are just covering themselves. I am unlikely to stay out for ages in heavy rain or anything anyway.

RosaLuxOnTheBrightSideOfLife · 12/01/2008 01:01

I have the turquoise spot one.
Pros:
Is waterproof apart from impossibly heavy rain (the stuff that goes horizontal).
Many, many people have admired it.
It goes nearly down to my knees so upper legs don't get wet.

Cons:
Not all that warm
The buttons are REALLY BADLY SEWN ON. V annoying.

wheelybug · 12/01/2008 18:51

oh yes you're right Rosa - the buttons are crap. My Mum has already had to sew 3 back on (I can't even sew a button on ) for me and a number are loose.

elliephant · 12/01/2008 18:57

Yes the buttons are terible, mine only has two buttons left - really should sew them in .However have worn it in heavy rain showers for over half an hour and fine. And gets loads of compliments .

pootleflump · 12/01/2008 19:03

Oooh I love that coffee one - haven't noticed it before, not sure I'd be bold enough to wear it but they don't have any of the spot ones left in my size.
