How do you achieve shiny, polished looking hair?

Is it doable without learning to blow dry properly and doing it every morning? I’ve got 2 under 3 and am hoping there’s a product or two I can put through damp hair that will help the resultant air dry look more groomed.

okay it starts with a good clarifying shampoo. Product build up will result in dull hair.

After a clarifying shampoo, do not over do the conditioner.

Then it’s a good blow dry with good quality straighteners.

Also your hair type matters. Virgin hair will always be shinier than over bleached/dyed hair. Also just your general hair type. I have super thick hair that looks in great condition but it will never really shine.

I’m not a hairdresser but managed to transform my mop with the following:

T gel scalp treatment shampoo

redken frizz dismiss conditioner plus a leave in mask of the same once a week

rinse with warm then cold water

pat dry

redken root strengthener spray

put in microfibre hair towel

wella SP oil reflections (something like that) for blow drying and don’t dry until about 70% there in a towel/air drying

tangle teezer finishing brush

It's taken me yearrrrrrs to get to a good spot with my hair condition and shine...

Good diet, lots of water.
JS Health hair + energy vitamins.
No vigorous hair drying with towel! Only microfibre towels, very gentle patting!
Silk wrapped hair ties.
Regular trims (every ~10 weeks for me).
Good hairdryer (I like the GHD options).
Olaplex finishing products.

It literally took ALL of this to turn my perpetually damaged hair into a shiny do.
