Smart top, size 16

I'm meeting up with some friends on Saturday that I haven't seen in a while.

After a relationship breakdown I've put on a couple of stone and now I'm a very curvy size 16.

I have no idea how to dress for my size and need some help finding a smart top (I already have smart jeans and nice boots)

I have a large chest 38F but I don't mind showing off my boobs if it distracts from my stomach

Most of the weight I've put on is around my stomach so I can't wear anything tight fitting.

I know I've left it too late to buy anything on line so please help me find something I can buy instore.

Desperatly in need of some advice. HELP!

definitely show off tits .. do you still have a definite waist? or is it all flobby under the boobs?

Twiglett · 10/01/2008 19:22

what colours?

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 19:24

which shops can you get to easily?
can you get to BRavissimo? they have great tops for big bazoomas

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 19:25

anything here really

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 19:26

really nice imo

Jersey can be difficult when love handles in place though .. it has to be enough material to work

maybe a wrap top style?

MiaWallace · 10/01/2008 19:28

definatly no waist

Tend to play it sfe at stick to black but could be persuaded to try something different.

I live in Exeter so can get to most of the bigger shops. No Bravissimo though

wrap top from that link

Twiglett · 10/01/2008 19:29

I'd go for this I think to meet mates in a pub

Twiglett · 10/01/2008 19:31

dependent again on amount of fabric this from monsoon might fit the bill?

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 19:32

that;s nice Twig
I tend to wear a lot of strappy cami (ideallt with secret supprt) underneath with cardi (buttoned with one button) or floaty top on top.

MiaWallace · 10/01/2008 19:32

Really like the wrap top but no Bravissimo local and I've left it too late to order.

not sure of print but the shape of sleeves on this is nice IMO .. brings focus to skinny wrists and cleavage

something like this with a plain cami underneath?

MiaWallace · 10/01/2008 19:42

That's very pretty harpsichordcarrier. Just worried it won't be dressy enough because we will go onto a club after having a meal.

Sorry I'm difficult to please ain't I?

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 20:20

this?
you would def need to try these things on

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 20:20

maybe still not dressy enough?

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 20:23

possibly?

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 20:29

coul dbe nice, depends on the fabric

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 20:30

i like this, but how are your upper arms?

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 20:30

great shape and colourm but again the fabric might cling a bit, lovely though imo

harpsichordcarrier · 10/01/2008 20:31

best one so far imo, really pretty
